What would you tell your past self?

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have you become the person you thought you would be when you were a child? Have you accomplished all the things you said you would do as a child. Can you look yourself in the mirror and say, I have become what my deepest desire and wish were. Think about all the great things you wanted to be, have and do in life when you were a child. Who are you now, are you proud and satisfied or have you lost track of yourself?

I know that life never goes the way we want it to, I know we meet obstacles on the way and I know life have knocked you down many times and it changed you. Now it just seems like you have forgotten all about your true purpose in life. The promises you give yourself as a child, about what you would do to make the world a better place, the business you wanted to do, and the lives around you wanted to change. It seems like the storm you went through have changed you.

I have a strong believe that our deepest desire we had as children, gives us some true insights of ourselves. We dared to close our eyes and dream of a better future. The sad truth is when you became an adult; reality hit us, dream stealers appeared, the society tries to break you down because you are trying to escape from it and be free. No society wants you to be free, because that is not a part of their plan, they want you to fit in, and be part of their plan.

I know if there was just one thing you could tell your past self, it would change everything today. Some of you would tell your past self to be more confident, takes mores risks in life, travel more, love more or do more of things that you love. You have been holding yourself back from truly enjoying life, and you have been holding your dreams and goals back.

I dare you to chase your dreams! Im telling you IT IS NOT TOO LATE, if Colonel Sanders the founder of KFC could do it at the age of 40+ and get rejected more than 1000 time for his fried chicken recipe, then you can do it too. If Richard Branson one of the world’s richest businessmen could do it though he has dyslexia, you can do it. This is just few examples, but there are millions of people who did it and are still doing it, they are breaking free from the cage and living their lives on their terms.

I know for sure many of you are thinking well I’m not like those people and I don’t have what it takes to be successful. You might even think that I’m crazy to even suggest these things, but the truth is that life is too short to wait for your greatness to come. You have a limited time left to live your life, then why not live it on your terms, at least give it a try.

  1. I have a small suggestion close your eyes and go back in time and find your inner child, find the passion find the desire and find the courage to dream. When you find it bring it back to the present.
  2. Find yourself a mentor who can help you reach your goals.
  3. Read all the books that is necessary to be able to obtain the knowledge that is required to work towards your goals.

I’m not suggesting at any moment that this is going to be easy, as a matter of fact it would be the hardest thing you would probably do in your life. You will experience more failures than wins on your journey. But just think about it you only have THIS LIFE once! Not twice but once! If you don’t do anything you will remain the same and your life will be unchanged. Your goals don’t have to be that you must become a billionaire, that is not what I’m suggesting at all.

What I am saying is that you have your own dreams and goals in life that you should pursue in life which will bring joy and fulfillment. Your goals can be as simple as to be the best parent, be the best salesman in your company. If you want to make a difference in the world by saving the rainforest DO IT; but as long as you are doing it on your terms, and I want you to remember to live your life to the fullest, because life is LIMITLESS.
